Colin Miller and Fust were both in my top 10, so thank you for Walker Rider, missed this completely and I just ran it back like Devin Hester, cheers man!

I’m more of a Cordarrelle Patterson guy… but glad you liked the tunes! Walker Rider is great.

Sweetness is unreal, puts Swift and carpenter to shame and I’m so glad Becca Harvey is getting the recognition she deserves for this phenomenal album:’)

Yes! Such a visceral record without ever feeling too heavy to carry. Perfect breakup album.

I am 100% w/ you on Fust and Jason Isbell; both their albums were on my top 10 list.

Ryan Davis really captured my attention. I must have played The Simple Joy four or five times the day it came up on Spotify. And then I got to the title song and was equally as intrigued.

Very cool sound plus the eight or nine verses that take you back to Dylan or Springsteen on Greetings from Asbury Park. Great music - can't wait to hear from him.

Amen to that. The album has really aged well. I find a new turn-of-phrase of his that shocks me with every listen.

SO good! Thanks for compiling!!

I appreciate it! What’s your fav?

Oooo it’s a toss up between Bloodless and Twilight Override. I’m a sucker for an ironic lyric and JT is a lyrical genius. Both are incredible!

Oooh - didn’t realize Emily How had a new album out! Where is she from? I’ve seen her play in the Quad Cities a couple of times.

Going to have to put some of these on my list to listen to. I’ve been going through so many people’s lists this year and finding some stuff that I really like! I just listened to the Dove Ellis yesterday, and Momma the day before. I loved both of them. Listening to girlpuppy now since I’ve seen them on a ton of lists too, and I’m enjoying them!

Florence + The Machine and Wet Leg are at the top of my list this year.

Emily How is from Champaign! She’s played AC a couple of times. Florence + The Machine and Wet Leg are great picks. “mangetout” and “One of The Greats” have been two of my favorite tracks all year.

Yes Mangetout is my absolute favorite song this year - and One of the Greats is one that was in the running for my #2 - but, I also love The Old Religion and Buckle - I ended up picking Buckle.

And yes, I saw Emily How this summer at AC, and she also opened for Brigitte Calls Me Baby at the Raccoon Motel last year. (BCMB were good, but I was more into Emily How 😂)
